Freediving + Yoga retreat in tropical paradise of the Philippines


Highlights: Be one with your breath and the ocean with freediving and yoga. Experience a whole new natural way to explore underwater world. Stay in a scenic and peaceful cliffside resort in Bohol, Philippines, with the ocean right at your doorstep. Wake up to refreshing morning yoga, then freedive or snorkel off the reef, exploring the amazing tropical marine life and healthy corals. Learn about breath-hold diving with an introduction to freediving course to explore the ocean in the most eco-friendly way. Enjoy healthy local meals, juices, and just simply let your mind and body connect with nature. Evening pranayama session and enjoy the view under the stars at night. 

3D2N Freedive and Yoga retreat itinerary:

Day 1 : Pick up from airport/seaport, transfer to resort and relax. Swim in the infinity pool or take a dip in the refreshing ocean at your doorstep. We start our theory session on freediving : Learn about the various disciplines of freediving, how to breathe, equalisation, safety and rescue and equipment. Evening relax.

Day 2: Wake up to refreshing yoga session to start the morning, then breathing session: Introduction to relaxation and breathing, then static breath-hold session. Finally time to jump into the water to freedive! Learn techniques to dive in one breath with the line. (Max 10m) Practise free immersion, duck diving, constant weight, safety, rescue, equalisation. Relax for rest of day.

Day 3: Day trip for fun freediving session at the marine sanctuary of Balicasag island to explore the underwater world in a single breath. This is a divers haven with beautiful reef walls dropping deep just metres from shore, colourful hard and soft coral and amazing variety of marine life. Friendly turtles are almost guaranteed! Back to resort, check out and Transfer to airport/seaport and goodbye.

3D2N Freedive and Yoga retreat package at US$350/person includes:

  • 2 nights twin-share or triple share accommodation in aircon room at oceanfront private resort with hot/cold showers, swimming pool
  • yoga session 
  • Introduction to Pranayama (breathing session)
  • Introduction to freediving (or beginners) or training sessions (certified freedivers)
  • Fun dive or snorkel session in Balicasag Island marine park and sanctauary

Excludes: International and domestic flights, ferry and other land transfers, other meals (except first day dinner, second day breakfast, lunch, dinner and last day breakfast.) Alcoholic beverages not included. Single supplement fees on accommodation, other activities, visa and immigration fees and other activities. Optional upgrade to AIDA one-star certification.

About the AIDA one-star freediving course:

The 1 star course can be taken by everyone that is somewhat comfortable in water. The only requirement to join the course is that you're able to swim 100 meters. The course will open your mind to a whole new underwater experience where you will increase your confidence and reach a new level of relaxation.

The focus on the class is on basic skills and safety and to build a good foundation for further freediving. It is also an exellent course to take if you just want to get more enjoyment out of snorkelling as you will be a safer and better diver after finishing the course.

You will learn the basic theory of Freediving and how to prepare yourself for a breathold dive including preparation breathing, duck dive, finning, buddying and basic safety techniques.

The course consists of the following modules:

  • Theory session (equipment, breathing, equalization, safety)
  • Breath hold session (abdominal breathing, recovery breathing, safety during breath hold, rescue)
  • Water session (preparation, breathing, duck dives, equalization, finning technique, buddying, rescue)

How to get there?

Travel info: Bohol is served by Tagbilaran airport, where flights from Manila arrive with Philippine Airlines, Cebu Pacific airlines. Another more common way is to arrive to Cebu-Mactan International airport which is served by many international airlines such as Cebu Pacific, Silk Air and Tiger airlines (Singapore), and direct flights from Hong Kong, Korea etc. From Cebu, take a fast ferry to arrive to Tagbilaran. We will advise on the best way for you to arrive to Bohol when you register.

Visa and Immigration: Philippines allow tourists 29 days entry visa free for most countries. Please check with your Philippines embassy.
